Embracing The Flow of Life

“Impermanence:  Embracing the Flow of Life”

Complacency.

The art of pursuing permanence.

In stillness, a mirage of stability,

In trivial change, a facade of prudence.

Risk-averse, we lose nothing,

Yet gain even less.

Courage lies dormant,

In complacency’s caress.

But we, light as feathers,

Dance with the winds of change.

Our home, a memory,

Our belongings, rearranged.

Not to shock, not to flee,

But simply to be —

To live in the now,

To set our spirits free.

Sweden calls, a birthplace revisited,

Familiar yet strange, a paradox of time.

School lunch aromas waft through decades,

“Lapskojs” and beets, a culinary crime?

Memories flood, uninvited, unplanned,

Shaping the present, a guiding hand.

But what are these echoes from the past?

These drawings, these letters, these ghosts that gasp?

Do they anchor us or set us adrift?

Are they ballast or merely a shift?

Life, a river of constant flow,

Impermanence its only show.

We yearn for certainty, cling to the known,

While change whispers, “Let go, let go.”

So here we stand, at the edge of blur,

Where past and future gently stir.

We choose to leap, to embrace the new,

To paint our lives in a bolder hue.

Without constraints, without fear,

We celebrate courage, another year.

In the face of complacency’s call,

We rise, we risk, we give our all.

For in this dance of endless change,

We find our truth, our fullest range.

Not in the static, not in the still,

But in life’s wild and beautiful will.

So let us flow, let us fly,

Embracing each moment before it dies.

In impermanence, we find our grace,

In courage, we find our place.
